As you are aware RMH is a registered Charity that depends upon voluntary contributions.  We receive no funding from any Government body.  The annual running costs are £650,000.  You can help us by making a donation or organising a fundraising event, speak to Denise Byrne, Fundraising Administrator or

Wendy Carson, House Director, who will be able to help you.

Throughout the year the Charity holds various fundraising events, which include, Golf Day at Royal Birkdale, Gala Dinners, Black Tie Ball and Family Days.  To get involved or register your interest please e-mail

Most of our electrical equipment such as microwaves, televisions, washing machines, tumble driers and the like are industrial quality as is the crockery that we use and we have special arrangements with suppliers.

Therefore cash donations are always needed, whilst it might not be as interesting to donate money, remember we always have to pay for gas and electricity, rates, phone and cleaning materials.

We also have to plan for the future that is refurbishment or redevelopment.  Therefore long term we need funds for redecoration, carpets, rebuilding and so the list goes on.

We hope that being able to stay in RMH will make things easier whilst families with seriously ill children are being treated in Hospital, please remember these people in the future who need to stay in our ‘’home away from home‘’
